Dr F Scott Villines - Plano Dallas Texas ChiropractorFloyd “Scott” Villines was born and raised in Ponca City, a small town in northern Oklahoma in 1968. Scott was the youngest of six children, which included four sisters and one brother.

Scott graduated high school in 1987 and joined the Marine Corps Reserves in August of that same year. In late 1990 he was activated into the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force and sent to the Persian Gulf, where he served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged from the reserves in 1993.

Dr. Villines earned his doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1994.

While in Chiropractic College two wonderful things happened, he married his high school sweetheart and he also learned how to play golf. These continue to be two of his passions to this day. (Wifes name is Marnie/handicap is a 10)

He now has a wonderful family which includes his wife and three beautiful children (two girls and a boy).

Scott was first introduced to the world of chiropractic as a teenager. His sister had taken her son to a chiropractor for severe asthma attacks (He was close to death more than once). The results were nothing short of remarkable and from that point on, the path to become a doctor of chiropractic was clear.

From Dr Villines

When I was 11 or 12 years old my mother remarked:

“You are smart enough to do anything you want, and I will always support your decision, just make sure you become a doctor or lawyer.” – Mom

obviously it stuck with me.

I knew very little about chiropractic when I decided to become a chiropractor. I only knew that it had saved my nephews life, and that was enough for me. By the time I graduated from college I had seen even more amazing results. I also had the great fortune to meet and become friends with other doctors who had witnessed incredible results through chiropractic.

I feel very fortunate that I can come to work every day and help people regain their health and life with chiropractic. Obviously chiropractic is not a panacea, but the results that I see in my office for a wide array of patients is nothing short of remarkable.

Here are some of the reasons classmates of mine were inspired to become Chiropractors. And remember this is just from one small class in 1994. There are thousands upon thousands more of these remarkable stories out there.

  • Legally blind and unable to go to school until chiropractic care restored a significant amount of his sight
  • After an auto accident he was told he would never walk again, decided to see a chiropractor, now has full use of his legs
  • Daily migraine headaches for several years until undergoing chiropractic care
  • Partial paralysis as an infant, parents decided to try chiropractic. Now leads a normal life

The amazing thing to me is that everyone of those people listed above was warned against seeking chiropractic care; by friends, family and in some cases medical professionals. Where would they be today if they had not decided to take a chance on chiropractic. Again, I must say that Chiropractic is not a magical silver bullet. However, it has a long history of remarkable and amazing results. Chiropractic could not survive and grow in the last one hundred years in our current pharmaceutical culture if safe, consistent, positive results had not been achieved and lives changed.

All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self evident.

– Arthur Schopenhauer

These examples are from my personal experience. One day everyone will be able to share stories like these. Chiropractic is safe, effective and will be around long after the newest “miracle drug cure” has been removed from the market.
