Thank you for your questions Brian,

Typically I use very low force techniques anywhere in the body. The type of treatment is based upon the individual patient
with respect to their preferences and physical condition. The standard types of treatment are prone diversified, standard diversified, Gonstead, and activator adjusting. It all depends on the patient.

X-rays can play an important part in identifying underlying conditions or complicating features. The use of x-rays depends on the history given by the patient and the presenting symptoms. Quality x-rays can be a good indicator of how long it will take to correct (if possible) the underlying condition that is causing the symptoms and to help rule out or identify conditions that are outside my scope of practice.

I hope this answers your questions. Good luck on your search.

What type of adjustment technique do you use to correct sublaxations (esp. in the neck)?
What role does taking X-rays play in planning or verifying treatment?
(am looking for a chiropractor after a relocation)
Thanks

Thank you for the question Mellisa.
Acupuncture can produce amazing benefits with all sorts of health conditions including digestive disorders. Nothing is a silver bullet however. Many patients and associates of mine have reported an excellent response from acupuncture for digestive problems. In fact, due to the results my patients and associates have gotten from acupuncture, I decided to begin an acupuncture certification course. The training and certification is a lengthy process, but my hope is to be able to offer acupunture in my office by the end of 2009.

My family is excited to be visiting your office soon. We are hoping to learn much more about staying healthy. What are your thoughts on accupuncture? Do you think it could help with digestive problems?

Respectfully Yours,
Mellisa

I had a partial tear on my hamstring about 5 weeks ago. I was wondering if this injury could affect the hip. I have a constant pain in my butt when I am sitting. not muscle pain. thanks

Jason,

Thank you for your question. This is one I get on a regular basis in my office and I'm thrilled to make it my inaugural article for the web site! I appreciate you asking it and sincerelely hope my recommendations make a difference for your wife and help relieve you of the financial and potential health burdens of long term pharmaceutical dependency.

Go to the article regarding <a href="http://www.planotexaschiropractor.com/acid-reflux-disease/2005/10/04/" rel="nofollow">sensible therapies for acid reflux disease</a>.

My wife has an ongoing problem with "acid reflux disease" and has been on Nexium for a few years now. Besides being fiendishly expensive I really don't like the idea of an ongoing dependency on pharmaceuticals of any kind.

I'd really like to hear your opinions, or an article if you will, on acid reflux and alternative therapies. I have heard of a couple, most noteably vinegar, but free advice from a doctor about free remedies that don't include pharmaceuticals is quite a tall order. I hope you're up to the challange, and if Nexium is the best answer, well so be it!

Glad to have come across your site and thank you for any help you can pass along!
